I like your style. It appears you've been reading The Art of War, by Mr Sun Tzu.

According to this interacting voting tool at least 30% of +/- 11000 people would like to see 'housing affordability' as an election issue.
Can these numbers be trusted. And if 'YES' is there an official way to get this issue addressed in the election campain?

I personally believe that the subject is too sensitive and fragile. The pollies will try to avoid the matter as much as possible while campaigning, especially when the only solution to unaffordable housing is affordable housing: which will burn many investors and home owners who have purchased in the last 2 to 4 years (which is a large portion of votes).
Maybe after the election is done and dusted, there might be some positive action.

The simplest way to do it is to flood our politicians with emails, which was the subject of another discussion thread here.
Check how the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has done it on their website with a bit of server side scripting (BTW, please vote for their cause too)

I wonder if we could come up with a similar thing on the bubblepedia page. I have some knowledge of PHP and would be happy to look into it. There are probably other readers here with the know-how who will be willing to help.

Look at the actual wording of the poll question, jazzwoman:
http://www.news.com.au/features/federal-election/you-decide-what-policy-is-the-biggest-priority-for-australia/story-e6frfllr-1225887070424
The issue people actually voted for as their no.1 was "home finance"... not "housing affordability".
So I'm inclined to interpret the poll result as meaning that most voters simply want everlasting cheap credit.
